Morning
The slope outside, the reds next door
The slope is 20 meters from the door: boots on, out, ride. Off lift 1 the long 1.6 km 1A and the short steep black 1B, and the red 2A and 2B are a couple of minutes away on the neighbouring lift 2R.
Whoever stays by the slope rides fresh corduroy as the lifts open while the rest are still parking. Buy the ski pass online the day before, the morning queue at the desk is long.

The main part
Blacks and freeride
The 1.5 km black 5H with a 300 m drop, 11B and 11C, 16B, 16C and 16D. After a snowfall take the freeride 12C and 12D at the very top of the resort before they get tracked out.
The longest runs are 5K and 3A, 2.6 km each. Come back to 1R on any blue: all sectors of the resort are linked.

For boarders
Snowpark
A kicker line and jib lines with tubes and kinks on run 8A: the lower park is open to everyone, the upper one with big airs opens after competitions. Shapers keep the features in shape.
Skiers need twin-tips, regular rental skis are not allowed in the park. A helmet is mandatory.

Evening skiing
When the mountain closes, the floodlit 1C, 1E, 2A and 2C keep running into the evening. Both sectors are round the corner from the hotel.
Run 1E is right under the windows of the slope-view apartments: a few evening runs, then walk home.

Finish
Ski room and dryer
Skis and boards on the rack, boots in the dryer. Everything is dry by morning, and no snow or water in the apartment.
The car stays in the car park 50 m away until you leave: the slope, the banya and the restaurants are on foot.

Banya or hot vat
After a day on the blacks your legs ask for steam. A banya with a birch broom, a hot vat or a jacuzzi a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. An hour in the warmth, dinner round the corner, and sleep.

A ski room with a dryer downstairs, a car park 50 m away, a banya a few minutes’ walk, our own generator, so there is light and heat even in a blackout.
Runs for confident riders
Right above the hotel: 1A and the short black 1B, with the red 2A and 2B next door. Across the mountain: the blacks 5E, 5F, 5H, 11B, 11C, 16B, 16C, 16D, 16E, 22A and 22B, the reds 5G, 11D, 12A, 13A, 15A and 16A. Freeride areas 12C and 12D. About 70 runs and 19 lifts in all, every sector linked.
What a day costs
The ski pass has three rates: low season, high season and the New Year days, and the low season from mid-March is almost half the price. Multi-day passes beat single days. With your own gear a day costs the ski pass, the banya and dinner, the rest is on foot. Current prices are on the resort’s website.
Tips
Ride out as the lifts open and on weekdays: the best snow and empty runs. Low season from mid-March: the ski pass is half the price, and the snow still holds on the north-facing slopes. Check the state of the runs and lifts in the morning: it depends on the weather.

Which advanced runs are closest to the hotel?
Off lift 1 round the corner: 1A and the short black 1B. On the neighbouring lift 2R, the red 2A and 2B. The rest of the mountain is a few lifts away.
Is there evening skiing near the hotel?
Yes, in season the floodlit 1C, 1E, 2A and 2C run after the mountain closes, and lifts 1 and 2R are around the corner. Check the hours on the resort’s website.
Where do I dry my boots and keep my board?
In the ski room downstairs: racks for skis and boards, a dryer for boots. Everything is dry by morning.
Where is a banya or a hot vat nearby?
A few minutes’ walk: VODA Club with banyas and hot vats, and other banyas in the center of Bukovel. Ask the receptionist about special offers.
